The old character has been retained in this charming cortijo - tiled floors, beamed ceilings and spacious rooms combined with modern essentials. There is a new kitchen and utility room with large cooker, dishwasher and washing machine, dining room, sitting room with log fire, 7 bedrooms and 6 bath/shower rooms, porch with table for outdoor eating, terraces around the pool and a hammock under the trees! There is central heating which is needed in winter as the nights get chilly up here in the mountains.
It is ideal for those wanting to relax and unwind - the loudest sound is usually birds singing. We are lucky enough to have nightingales, hoopoes, beeeaters, golden orioles, sardinian warblers, stone curlews and many more.
This is an ideal property for 2 families to share or for a big get together to celebrate a special event.
This is a very dry area, and even in the height of summer the temperature feels much more comfortable than the coast because of the low humidity.

Nearby is fantastic Lake Negratin. The waters are a magical azure blue, backed by red cliffs reminiscent of the Grand Canyon. Here you can enjoy a meal by the lake, or kayak on the still waters. From Finca Lucia you look out at the mountains of the Sierra de Baza natural park, which is totally unspoiled. |
