| Brief description: |
Authentic house (XVIII century) on top of a hill with magnificent views to the Pyrenees |
| Full description: |
The house "Casa Arriba" (arriba means uphill) is suitable for six persons. Its oldest part was built in the 18th century. The ground floor (70 m2) is divided in a spacious, fully-equipped kitchen-diner and a living room with wood-burning stove. Both kitchen and living room have French windows which give access to the terrace with a splendid view of the Pyrenees. |
| Facilities: |
Adjacent to the house is an open green area leading to the peak of the rock. The grounds contain a little private summer-house, which belongs to the property, with a dining-table and (deck) chairs. There are plenty of possibilities here to enjoy the tranquillity, the view and the sun. |
| Additional
information: |
The village provides a starting point for many long walks in an area of great natural beauty and sublime peace and quiet.
There are centuries-old, easy footpaths leading to other villages, Romanesque churches and sometimes abandoned monasteries. (Juseu lies on the pilgrimage route GR-18.)
The Mediterranean mountain landscape, with its many almond and olive trees, varies from gently undulating to steep rocky slopes. |
