Sant Feliu de Guixols is a bustling town north of Barcelona on the Costa Brava. In the summer, locals mix with affluent Catalan holiday homeowners from Girona and Barcelona. The town has a busy produce market and a great mix of small family owned boutiques, shops, restaurants and bars. The number of foreign visitors is small, the majority being French . France is only 70 km to the north.
There are two beaches in the town, the blue flag beaches of Sant Feliu and Sant Pol. Along the coast there are numerous other beaches and coves. Particular favourites are the coves around the historic village of Begur and the long golden sands of the beach at Pals.
The town is 30 minutes drive from Girona airport and 1 hour from Barcelona airport [approximate times].
