Below are some options to help you choose your choice of travel to reach your Spanish destination. You have to consider if you want to get there as quickly as possible or to make your journey part of your holiday. You can,
Fly to Spain and hire a car on reaching your destination
Have a drive down through France, maybe staying for a few nights on your way there and on your return you can find suitable accommodation on our french site for those overnight stops.
Get a ferry down to Spain using P&O Ferries from Portsmouth to Bilbao (with your car) and drive the rest of the way.
Obviously, if you take your car, you have the benefit of being able to fill it with plenty of goodies.

TIPS: Never has the traveller had so much choice. Airfairs can be expensive so check out any special offers, cheapest time of day/night day of the week etc. When making property enquiries ask if the owner has any special reference numbers for possible discount travel, do they offer "any day of the week arrivals" to make use of cheaper ferry prices if you choose to drive down. Would it be more economical to use the Tunnel drive down through France or perhaps a cheap flight combined with a hire car? |
